i remember... actually compared with some of my friends i remember very little.
i am still in contact with four people from school: adam, bluey, he who can't be named (aka joel) and yorkie. every now and then they will regale me with some facts, occurrences and odds and sods from our days at school. all i can do is scatch my head and go "really!" i seemed to be a much more interesting person back then.
even the people i have worked with will mention something and i will have to look at them in a kinda open mouthed mental patient way.
i am sure i have a past - i am just not sure i remember that much of it.
so here are some of the things i do remember.
living in a pad called the white hart in greenford. it was a large large pub. it has a saloon bar and a public bar. the saloon bar had carpets, the public bar did not. we lived upstairs. i was somewhere around 6 or 7 when my dog, sally, was having her last litter of pups. i remember rushing downstairs very early one morning in order to see these little bundles of joy.
christmas had come early.
for some reason sally was in the saloon bar (rather than out in the very large yard we had). the light was dim, i doubt if dawn had broken.
but i was still freshed faced and full of the joys of childhood. i skipped and scarppered down the stairs and in to the bar. i went over to where sally was, and there they were all these little bundles of puppy pleasure. i was so happy.
so happy i didn't even mind the fact that i had managed to stand in a small pile of puppy pooh and it had squidged up between my toes.
happy days indeed.

I was just thinking what it would be like to live in a pub as a child - got totally carried away and romanticised the whole notion. Probably miles from the truth.
much more pleasent than the time i stepped in cow shit....
