here are some images of the east end, well of the area around brick lane.
there is the truman brewery chimney. it is impressive; it dominates the brick lane skyline.
then there is some of the urban art that covers some of the walls of the area (oh ok this is graffiti....) the graffiti occurs just round the corner from a new development of loft style apartments - tastefully called jack's place, well at least it makes it easier for the jack the ripper walks....
it might also be there for the various sisters of mercy fans in the area or it might be something there for the pyshcogeographers...

iain sinclair always has something to say about the graffiti. he calls himself a psychogeographer which i have never quite understood.
i was told by someone the other day they caught iain being interviewed about his new book orizon (i think) and aside from him having no sense of humour, apparently he denies being a psychohgeographer.
i wonder do they were psychocourderoys.
my colleague is officially sinclair's number one fan. His German translator borrowed a book from J that Sinclair didn't have a copy of.
i'm going to have to reread something now to see whether he just mentions psychogeography or includes himself within it
i suspect that he probably was all for it, but now the cranks have moved into he wants out.
it was the psychogeographers who claimed the pyramid atop of canary wharf was a battery for evil.
