i have a confession to make: i watch “two pints of lager and a packet of crisps”. if i have to justify my viewing of this bbc3 series it is because i think kathryn drysdale is scrummy and you can see the room i stay in when i am runcorn (where i watch the programme – it is sort of metatextual post-modern reasoning here).
the other reason is that it is crude and it makes me laugh.
as i was watching the latest episode (to be repeated several times this week on bbc3) gaz and janet were about to have a naughty fumble – both feeling guilty because she is the widow of gaz’s best friend and she is the best friend of gaz’s wife – when janet decides they can’t because her dead husband can probably see them.
gaz says that is not the case, to which she says:
“no he is everywhere like god, or polish people.”
i snorted my mouthful of pepsi.
