depressing

i have the utmost respect for people who deal with the general public. doesn’t matter if they work in shops, work in call centres; work in public services i admire them they do something i couldn’t do.
why?
because when it comes right down to it the general public are not very nice at all.

there i was on the bus the other day when i notice a sign that proclaims, “our staff will not be spat at”.
which seems fair enough. even if some of the bus drivers i have been subjected to deserve to be burnt at the stake, oh ok that is a bit harsh, perhaps put in the stocks…

the sign goes on to say that all of their staff carry a dna kit around with them in order to make sure that the perpetrators can be caught and prosecuted.

i shook my head and wondered what the world was coming to.

Same goes for the DLR - they've had the kits for some time if the ads are to be believed.

I hate spitting.
